Nobody wants to be overshadowed by the VP (except of course for Chimpy).

Interesting thought...Yet, I would rather have Gore or Warner be the nominee for the Dems...former president Clinton could be helpful to any campaign - if he chooses to be.

Just concentrate on 2006 and impeaching Bush. By the time 2008 rolls around, even Dennis Kucinich might be able to beat the tainted GOP nominee. In which case the best president would be John Kerry. But if you don't like him, take Mark Warner or someone else. All 100 times better than Bush.
