The typical GOP way is to attack the accuser. When DeLay was indicted, the wingers in the GOP were quick to come to DeLy's rescue by attacking the special prosecutor etc. etc. But then when the law started to take its course, they realized that their efforts of attacking the opponents was a lost cause.

Let us wait to see the Scooter Libby case unfold. The special prosecutor has Cheney in the crosshairs and he is going to get the big fish. And the Abramoff scandal is still unfolding. It is likely that some Democrats will be caught up in this too. But when all is said and done, there will be significantly more Republicans than Democrats in the scandal.
