In 2004, Bush ran a negative campaign falsely portraying Kerry (an honest military expert and combat hero) as weak on defense. His people also put out all kinds of phony claims and scare tactics, together with cheating and voter fraud galore. And make no mistake, the smearvets campaign was Rove's brainchild. It was 100% Bushie trickery. But Kerry won all three debates and was tied in the polls going into election day.

In fact, Kerry may have won the election, we may never know the truth. On election afternoon, Sean Hannity conceded after seeing Kerry 5% ahead in exit polls in Ohio. Where did the extra 300,000 Bush Ohio votes come from so suddenly. Diebold? They could produce that amount with a single mouse click.
