Iraq, Iran and Palestine are all in more Islamic, more extremist hands now than in 2001. Iraq is a huge question mark. While we all agree Saddam was a creep, he was also a strongman who supressed the Islamic fundamentalists which is where all the terrorism comes from. Saddam, for all his faults, was never a terrorist supporter like Ghaddafi or Hamas. He only gave money to Palestinian terrorists after Bush was threatening to invade Iraq, that move to try and woo the Islamics to rally around him.

Now in Iraq we have El Sadr the rising power, maybe someday the head of the country. He just met with Syria and Iran pledging unity against their mutual enemies, including Israel and the US.

Iran was moderating in 2000 and lent us a hand in Afghanistan. But since Bush's Axis of Evil speech, they have grown far more hostile. Bush's invasion of Iraq was the main reason the extremists got into power in Iran.

And meanwhile, Osama Bin Lauden is alife and well, along with Zawahiri, the two men who hit us on 9-11. Where are they? In 2003, Bush said he didn't care anymore. Apparently not. After all who has helped Bush stay in power more than Osama Bin Lauden? Why kill him?
