(you could do that with your present site as well). yes, that's what i had been considering doing.... but for this:i'm always wary of free services though, because you don't have much recourse if they don't perform well or disappear or decide to start charging more than you think they're worth. yeppers, me too. actually, one thing led me to another and i wuz just trying to figure out how i would go about setting up WordPress on a webhost. I've looked at quite a few blog platforms and that one seems like it might suit my purposes better than most. They *do* have a freebie webhosting thing too, but i've gone that route with things before and services sometimes evaporate, OR, it's difficult or impossible to save the files from your site so that you can reconstitute things later.... oh.. to continue with the above.... i wuz just looking around on the WordPress site to find out more about installing it, and I see a link back to yahoo and webhosting packages that have "in seconds" installation of WordPress, and find out that i could have had my current site hosted on a different part of yahoo webhost services with waaaay more space and at a fraction of the price i've been paying. DOH!!!!! so, now i'm just mulling all of this stuff over before making my next move. anyhow, thanks for all of this info and input. it's been a big help and is helping to get me motivated to make changes of some sort or another. ~croc-in-the-woods
