I would think the Secret Service agents would have taken over. I'd imagine one of 'em had to have reported the incident to the local police. Perhaps there's just not yet enough information out about what actually happened, how, who did what and why.

Cheney accused Kerry of being weak on defense, yet Cheney shoots his own man in the back, while Kerry led his platoon through four months of non-stop combat, killing enemy, taking wounds, winning a Silver and Bronze Star and never letting a single one of his men be killed.

While Bush went AWOl from the Guard after draft-dodging (like Cheney) and lied about it.

So who would you rather have leading the USA into combat?
