My belief is you must insure yourself against the new CAT 3-5 hurricane threat in Florida and other coastal areas of the southeast today more than ever before. What used to be a once in 10-20 year threat is now 3-5 times a year.. Also good to have a HELOC set up for 80-100% LTV so you can write a check on the spot for your equity just in case.
