In terms of technical indicator divergences, current position and position last Jul/Aug appear equally "severe"....Question remains....would you also have "already been gone" ....sold or shorted......last Jul/Aug......and if not, why not??

Basic question I am raising is one of validity/reliability of the "indicator soup"....which has been much discussed around here......but not in a long time...I note that header to this thread still lumps "indicators" into "other mathematical voodoo"..LOL

That would have been a losing trade which I am no stranger to. Tight stops would have minimized the damage however. The problem as always is that often Mr. Market fails to cooperate with what I believe the next move should be. In any event, have another look here as this one is working nicely.
