I agree with you. A colleague in Alaska who was a remote sensing expert said he could tell the difference in vegetation in satellite imagery taken several years apart.

Whether we are in a period of global warming or a little ice age, things will change with time and I don't think there is much we can do about it.

I know that the reasons for global warming are in dispute. I don't want to get into that. Suffice it to say that the fact of global warming in the Northern Hemisphere, for whatever reason, is not in dispute

Sure, but without a working model of why and how the warming is going on, how can anybody rationally know what, if anything, to do about it? How can anybody know if we can do anything about it, or judge whether it is more cost-effective to adapt to the warming than to try to halt it?

I believe the climate is getting warmer. It's been getting warmer since about 1750. What I find hard to believe is that anybody has a handle on the mechanics involved.
