Cheney should lose his gun and hunting permits and be investigated. The Halliburton board member lady Armstrong (one of Bush-Cheney's inner circle of real constituents and probably a miserly billionaire who has made many millions off the war) was clearly lying to protect Cheney, pretending it was the victim's fault ("he snuck up behind him") etc.)

Since when if you sneak up behind a fellow hunter, does he wheel around and blast you in the face when at 20 yards away he can plainly see you? This is negligent as hell, possible attempted manslaughter or worse. And was Cheney drinking at the time? He is an ex alcoholic.

combjelly,

re:Well, if their goal was quail burger...

Buckshot is so much easier to pick out of the meat, besides it was probably an automatic shotgun! :-0

I thought they were using bird shot? Probably needed something bigger than that to bag a lawyer....

"the reporter on ABC radio news at the top of the hour said he was hit with "buckshot" from Cheney's shotgun...."

Well, if their goal was quail burger...

Yeah, what's up with that? I am not a hunter but I thought you wanted to do as little damage to the bird as possible.
