If our respective positions are correct, then some predictability ought to be possible. I predict that tax revenues in the first half of 2007 will fall far short of expectations. Furthermore, I predict that tax revenues in the current Governmental fiscal year will be amazingly disappointing. I predict these things based on my interpretation of the numbers. The bond market agrees with you. It's a decent bet since the Fed usually doesn't reverse until they put the country into a recession.
