This is Cheney's Chappaquiddick. The man could have died. He was shot by hundreds of pellets mainly in the face and neck. At 78 years old that could be fatal. If Cheney didn't have his personal heart attack doctors right there, the man might have expired and Cheney would be guilty of manslaughter. The question then becomes, would Cheney have ever reported it or would he have covered it up like he did the leaking of Valerie Plame's name and the phony WMD intel. Cheney's victim was wearing a bright orange vest and was close by standing up so Cheney's shot was just plain stupid and reckless. As stupid as Teddy Kennedy driving across a tiny bridge with no guardrails in total darkness. Cheney did not report the crime/accident and did not allow local Sheriff to interview him. He fled the next day and left a female crony to spin the story as best she could, blaming the victim for the shooting. Cheney has proven his real character here. Anyone who thought he was honorable, honest or brave, forgetabout it. The man is a dishonest self-serving coward.
