Ed, Your attempt at humor has failed but you are still a good guy. I have a question for the thread--they shoot quail with birdshot. The birdshot that got in the face of cheneys friend was left in because its more painful to get out. With all that shot flying, a quail that is shot is loaded with that stuff. Quail hunters typically eat the bird. If so they would be eating a hell of a lot of bird shot, no?

LOL! I've never hunted quail, but I have flushed them from the brush just hiking around. I've never had them fly AT me, but they always startled me. I can see how Cheney might have had some flush behind him and he whipped around. That's where Cheney and I differ, as I was taught never to pull the trigger unless I knew EXACTLY what I was shooting at. Cheney shot his buddy - no mention of any quail going down. It makes me think he heard them flush behind him and just turned around and blasted blind.
