They keep saying "Dick Cheney shot and wounded (so and so)" as if were equivalent to "a gunman shot and wounded so and so." Their presentation implies intent, which is no more than a deliberate lie. What they should be saying is "So and So was slightly injured by birdshot. So and so entered the shooting zone after recovering his own bird. Vice President Dick Cheney fired at a quail, and the shot hit So and So accidentally." People who hunt in groups take certain risks, and should minimize those risks by agreeing beforehand how they will array their party in the field.
