I'm a moderate common sense progressive and more truly conservative than Bush on many important issues. I also take issue with people who call themselves "conservative" but stand for wasting energy, cutting down irreplaceable forests, polluting seas and rivers, putting God's species out of existence, deficit spending like there's no tomorrow and giving away our hard-won civil liberties to far rightwing industrial-military cabals. I also wonder why Bush let Osama Bin Lauden go and didn't finish the job in Afghanistan when he claims to be running a war on Al Qaida. I would have killed Osama and everyone he knows years ago if I'd been in charge. Nothing conservative about any of the above, is there?
