I agree with Dale's assessment of both political parties.. AND how we have become a nation mired in attacking opponents and all that propels the Washington scene which is unpalatable.

I could not agree more.

We have unfortunately fallen into the trap of choosing up sides, like backing sports teams, when the real contest should be against a "team" called the federal govt, that no longer even pretends to represent us.

If the Left and the Right ever joined forces and demanded that our elected public servants actually represent us, we might be able to get our republic back on course.

My prediction for this ever happening? Slim to none.

I would vote Libertarian but like voting for Nadar... or that oilman who used his own funds to run ( whose name escapes me ) it 's like a wasted vote.

Nader (Green Party) and Perot (Reform Party) aren't libertarians or members of the Libertarian party.

But if you think voting for someone with no reasonable chance of getting elected is a wasted vote than that same idea would apply to votes for Libertarians.
