Oops, I meant hired on, not fired on. Yes, education is an important predictor of later success. Another important predictor is holding a regular job. The longer parents support a young adult the less the predicted success in life. Since the Casino provides roughly 300 jobs to local reservationists that might otherwise rely upon a welfare net, it will provide a catalyst for future success of the tribal members. One of my friends who I respect will not pay for his children's post secondary education. I have committed to do it for my children. It is a subjective call that each family must make.
