No, you don't have to trace your genealogy back for 2000 years. I wonder how many people can do that. re: Just wondering about the dual citizenship thing. It does exist. re: I've heard that about 80% of European Jews can't do that as they trace back to the Caucasus area of Russia etc while it has no relevance short of curiosity - most of the jews in Russia look somewhat like arabs so I would assume that they have similar origin. It is kinda sad that Arabs and Jews have the same origin and there is no peace between them
