Very astute observations. Especially the last one.

Message #4021 from LBighorn at 2/14/2006 2:18:38 PM

I don't believe the Indians are held back by circumstance or law or opportunity and I am quite sure they have free choice.

They are still fighting the white man and their pride might destroy the best of them. The best of them have to be the leaders and set the example. It is not happening but it is very early.

We judge life in our time. Our time is next to nothing.

We just think we are a big deal.

Your statement that Native Americans have free choice is one I can agree with. I too believe that all people have free will. The rape of peoples will is one of the greatest tragedies. This is equally bad whether the party taking it is the society of a tribe or a mosque.

"We judge life in our time. Our time is next to nothing."

That is a truly profound statement.
