and no flambeaux!

I think we're having flambeaux, but don't quote me on this yet.

No, haven't seen the poster yet.

A buddy from law school whose name is, oddly enough, Buddy Brimberg, started the whole Jazz Fest poster thing. Brilliant, brilliant and nice guy..........couldn't really hack it as a lawyer, not that brains were the problem, he may have been too smart to be lawyer, so he made piles and piles of money with ventures like the posters. I think he's in NYC now.

Funny you should mention flambeaux. I went looking for them last night. According to Rex Duke, flambeaux for at least two parades -- the Krewe d'Etat and Proteus, and maybe Knights of Babylon.

I was talking to my brother last night -- I think we will dress up as the Krewe of Panspermia -- which is the theory that life on earth originated on another planet. This is in contrast to the theories you read about in the news -- creationism versus intelligent design vs. "primordial soup."

I am going to dress as a Pomegranate from Another Planet. Lots of red, shiny seeds, and DNA spirals made out of foil.

When I was a kid everybody used to dress up as families in related costumes. We're going to continue the tradition.

I will suggest to Ben that he go as a gigantic black monolith.
