I can think of lots of good reasons to go into the wilderness and I can see how you would view canned hunting as a lesser experience in that regard.

Eating the game someone else killed for you and cooked for you is hardly sporting. Have you ever considered eating pheasant or quail in a restaurant?
Eating the game someone else killed for you and hauled to a grocer is hardly sporting. Do you buy meat and cook it at home?
Shooting at game let lose near you is a little more sporting.
Shooting at game that you roust out of the wilderness is a bit more of an adventure.
Then there are clay pigeons... That's a sport isn't it?
When you have gone to the woods and whooped a bengal tiger bare handed, I will be impressed.
