Cheney is secretive, openly hates the press [and the sentiment is mutual], has had nothing established against him in the Plame brouhaha, ditto the energy policy dustup, so they had to go after him on something no matter how ridiculous.

Drunken Teddy Kennedy, killer while DUI, gets a pass, however.

Politics and the elite press bias set on "normal." Nothing new. Boring.
