A sad accident.

Yes, the accident could have happened the other way around also. The VP could have had those pellets in him and with his heart condition, he could have died if that happened to him. So I for one would not like to take advantage of such a situation for political gains or to make a fast busk like the press people want to do. But I surely expected Cheney to be "the people's" man and come out to the public and talk openly. But he is hiding and thereby reinforcing his image of a slimeball who meets with energy lobbyists behind closed doors, encourages Libby to leak out the name for purposes of revenge etc. And now a tragedy has befallen him and I don't expect people to have any sympathy for him especially of he continues to hide.

Can you see what will happen id he comes out publicly and asks the gentleman and his family for forgiveness and also the nation. Americans are very forgiving folks, they understand. But hey, Cheney is Cheney.
