>>> I read that some traders are ready to short it in case it runs back to $70-71, and target as low as $56. the stop will be set at $75. Do you think this is a possibility? <<<

Yes, it is.

Will it work? I'm not sure. AAPL is picking up buying support the last few days. There is systematic buying going on which usually indicates professional money is the demand coming to market.

Look at the volume bars. The up days the last couple of days are showing above average volume. It appears that we are seeing volume transfer from weak hands to strong hands.

Would shorting AAPL on a bounce be a low risk play?

Absolutely not. AAPL was in a strong Stage 2 uptrend. We have a rising 20 week moving average above a rising 40 week moving average with a comfortable distance between the two. This is a bullish alignment and the low risk trades are to look to the long side. This is the first test of a rising 20 week moving average in the entire Stage 2 uptrend. The odds favor price reversing here and heading higher.

It's possible this support range will fail and the shorts will win. The odds say otherwise and it is usually better to play the odds. But, we each must do what is right for us.

>>> CHK, is it a buy now? <<<

Yes. It was a buy earlier today when price closed the gap.

I mentioned last night or early this morning that energy would be in play today if price gapped down at the open and then closed the gap. The perfect entry was to buy when price was 6 to 12 cents into the green today with a stop placed under today's low.
