I think if you will look, it was NOT a whole day. It took several hours to get the man into the hospital, and tests to be run. The accident happened at 6:30 PM....Without looking, I think it was about 10:30 PM till anything was really known by the Docs....(if you have ever been in Emergency, you know how and why that is true unless, of course, the reason you went to emergency was superficial)...by then it was night and late. The President had been informed. They awoke Scott McClellan on Sun morning at 6ish...AM....12 HOURS later. And then talked to the hospital and then told a local paper, but didn't call the National PC.... I agree, something should have been said earlier on Sunday, perhaps by 10-12 noon.... which would have been 16-18 hours later....UNLESS you think that anything would have been solved by alerting the press during the night. If there was anything criminal going on, the Sheriff would have notified the press.... The whole thing is really stupid, and beneath even the press. Did the press just not want to put Gore's vomit about American while in a foreign country, on the front page, and this is why the press is having such an artificial conniption fit? Or did they not want to report on Annan's "visit" with Bush....wanting more help from the US for the UN problems in the Sudan????? Or the newest outrage from Iran's new "leader"..... Or, heavens, did they forget to report on the "so called cartoons"....? and the people killed by the Islamofascist Muslims.....
