Regarding why they took Whittington to a small town hospital instead of a larger city hospital was a question raised by a journalist from the Texas Monthly, not me. Of course, this is against the indication that the VP staff tried to handle the PR spin as if the shooting was a local issue and not a national issue, hence contacting only the local newspaper.

If I were the Mr Whittington's family and Dick Cheney's family, I'd buy the services of LOTS of guards around Whittington....

The media seems bent on having Whittington die so that there can be an investigation of Cheney. Would the media have him "bumped off?"

Goodness only knows there are enough conspiracy theories flying around...Look at the Leftie sites all over SI.....

Look at the NYT article of tonight, that will be out tomorrow.
