"It was an accident Scott, a tragic and personal one that has deeply hurt those involved and their loved ones."

Yes, but when the man who is first in line to succeed the president of the US is involved in a tragic accident, the way he handles himself and what that reveals about his mores and standards is critically important.

If you don't think so ask Ted Kennedy. Or maybe you think we shouldn't look at the character a man reveals under such circumstances?

In this instance it's doubly important because Cheney and his handlers are the men who ask us to "trust them to tell the truth and protect our safety and interests." We need to see good judgement and honesty or we need to be very, very careful. Ed
