RCG let me make it 3rd grade simple for you.

"Ask Ted Kennedy" didn't mean you should ask Ted Kennedy. It meant that your implication that private matters should be kept private didn't take into account that when private matters involve public figures the way they handle them can reveal their character.

Or in Kennedy's case, and probably Cheney's, lack of character.
