I've been reading stuff like the shot was from 20' and there's still between 6 and 200 pellets in the lawyer. Now that is quite a range made up by someone's imagination. A shot at 20' with 200 hits and they would have been field dressing the guy, not taking him to the hospital. I believe 1. The lawyer was out of position and in Cheney's shooting zone. 2. The lawyer didn't yell he was out of position. 3. Cheney didn't know the lawyer was out of position. 4. Cheney didn't see the lawyer before the shot. 5. The shot was at 30 yards. 6. One BB migrated to near the lawyer's heart after the shot.
