re: what was the point of bringing it up in the context of the conversation? the context was Elroy's 2 solutions - 1 of which was single state. The point was very simple is that conflicted existed even before Israel was founded so creating a single state would resolve the problem, I thought it was obvious re: but they're not the same people today. again, the point was is not paint a picture of evil muslim but to illustrate that it was not the creation of Israel that created the conflict.
