Patricia, in Yahoo email this is easy to do: checkmark the emails you want to transfer to other folders and click. They're gone from the inbox and show in the other folders.

But you can't put an email in several folders.

I've read more than one article that rated Yahoo highest among web-based email providers.

Just click on the archive button, not the delete button. That's what it does, removes it from the inbox.

my main problem is that I want to keep my "inbox" up to date and clutter free and it seems near impossible to do because if I delete from my inbox it gets deleted from the labels too.
