Perhaps I should say that I was surprised that our American Government approved the purchase.

I am always surprised when we sell or give to Communist nations the materials to use against the free world in later years. We have done this over and over again. When will we ever learn?

It's great to teach them how to utilize free enterprize in their nation-----however;if they wish to be embraced internationally, then freedom of speech is necessary. Tieing freedom of speech to the purchase of Lenovo would have been a little wedge into that resistence.

Who can forget Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989?

Let's leave it at that--------I don't have time to write a book about China.

PS The IP theft is a much more serious issue that Congress should be focused on, rather than involving itself into other countries' censorship issues (while they leap ahead of the USA.) The best guarantee of promoting global Democracy in a non-intrusive way, is to remain focused on global economic viability where Democracy is naturally embraced when every country is reasonably doing well, otherwise below a certain per capita, Democracy fails because the "freedom" to eat food is more desirious than starving while you have the "freedom" to talk.
