No... Stalin... and the French... and ourselves, of course.

(But, what does your analogy have to go with al Qaeda's recruitment successes, or lack there-of? Had al Qaeda recently invaded and conquered Iraq before we did or something? Did they change the flag to reflect that it was no longer Iraq but now 'al Qaeda-stan', and execute Saddam while the world wasn't looking? :)
