There are 3 years to go in Bush term #2. My belief even before the Quail is that Cheney would go either for legit reasons relating to health or just using that to help the republican party. I would think that in the latter case, he would even have some say on who is successor would be. When Ford needed a veep, he picked Rocky, but replaced him on the ticket with Dole. Bush could also go statesmanlike and appoint some really popular american like Oprah. (g) mike PS if cheney made the choice alone, who do you think he would choose?
