OK, I'll stand up.... If the first decline in CL off the August 29 peak was "A", then (the presumed) Wave "C" may travel as low as $47.40 a barrel (C=162% of A, a fairly common relationship) That would be pretty scary, but would still qualify as a correction. I wouldn't like to see that, but sometimes they forget to ask me....

I've been saying that Crude was Headed for A Drubbing for a while now ..

USD vs WTIC .. Notice anything interesting?

stockcharts.com

Hey .. I was Drooling over a Head and Shoulders Breakdown in Crude just in last the couple of months. Now it's done one of those Double Tops to Shake my Ideas and Confidence. Those Double Tops have done Nothing Substantial and Lasting to Crude as far as bringing it down.

The Pres came out and said " Government Bucks for Alt Energy " and OPEC said we'll Produce more so you can stay addicted to our Oil.

We're at the Point ... that there is No Place to Store all the Oil .. But it's not Light Sweet.

The Entire Problem is .. we don't have enuff Refineries to do Heavy Crude. It's the Quality of Oil that is the Problem and the Scarcity of Proper Distilling Plants :) .. for the Crude we have in abundance.

From 3/10/2005 ....

I'd say there is a darn good chance crude has peaked.
