Yep,

IMHO this is a real good story to watch not because of what has transpired (well, it 'could' be important if in fact it wasn't an accident) but to check out HOW the story is taken and run with by all participants:

1.) We have a story that is going to be (has been) widely covered.
2.) We have a story with widely differing potential conclusions depending on the context and facts of what actually transpired.
3.) We are likely to KNOW pretty well what actually transpired because there were wittnesses, a live person on the receiving end, etc. We also have doctors and hospital reports and know exactly the extent of injury, penetration, etc.

** So far we have widely differing accounts and importance of such bandied about... from "he was obviously drunk, who isn't when hunting quail") to Cheney's story "NO Alcohol since 1 beer at lunch", and a pretty detailed story from distance to direction... "the sun was right behind him".

4.) We also have reports that pretty much treat this as second page news (or lower)"peppering", or whatever... to "this defines his career" type statements...

Interesting... if not for what happend... the players 'take' on the story: this could be a real "you see what you want to see" story... we'll see.
