He will only be in office a couple of more weeks so I don't think his threat of reducing anything from the gun registry to climate controls is going to make much difference. The only honourable thing for Harper to do at this point is to blow his own brains out." The only change killing the gun registry will make is to remove the restrictions on so called "Long Guns" Rifles and shotguns. Hand Guns and the kind of thing the gang bangers use have been under different legislation and still are, since 1937, a fact that Paul martin never ever figured out.
