I shot a gun two times in my life when i was a kid. It was a bb gun. I shot up in the air at a flock of birds and i got one. Another time i shot at a rabbit with a bb gun and hit it. I realized i had terrific aim so i never shot again. I think the above is true and not a product of distorted and disjointed childhood memories. I think i stopped because i was sad about the animals i hit but it didnt stop me ever from eating burgers.

"Ok all you guys with a 28 gauge, go shoot a watermellon from 90 feet and see what happens."

About 70% of the pellets will hit a 30" diameter watermelon if the pattern hits it dead center and the cylinder used is an improved cylinder.

I tried that stunt once with a 12 gauge full bore at 10 feet. The melon exploded. Same number of pellets, twice as heavy, much higher velocity.
