Why should they recognize anything. Is that part of the deal when we sponsor and pay their way over here? The problem with Canada is people don't come here to be lumberjacks anymore, there is no one culture and we tolerate everyone elses B.S. You can't have it both ways Siegel either you recognize everything or tolerate only one thing. Well the first thing to stop is paying anyones way over here. Secondly I have no need to impose my religious ideas on others, and they in turn should keep their religious idiocy to themselves. Frankly the idea of encouraging everyone to keep their own culture while living in Canada doesn't work, and it is time we recognised it and encouraged people to be proud Canadians, valuing the heritage we came from and embracing the diversity we are joining. And yes, that should be the first thing we tell them, leave your old conflicts at home. Remember that other Canadians have specific rights, that may conflict with your values. If you can't handle it stay home.

And therein lies the big problem...multiculturalism does not work and thanks to liberal thinkers Canada will some day...maybe soon ...be fighting cultural wars within our big cities. We even have laws in place to protect other cultures.... no laws to protect our own culture though... But hey we really don't need laws to protect our Canadian culture cuz we no longer have one. Thanks liberal thinkers.
