Bush 41 appeared to showntoo little concern about the recession that ended his term. He said the economy had turned around. It had, but it wasn't apparent to J6P and Slick got the benefit of that.

OK. ANYTHING to get Condi elected!

The democrats passed a minimum wage hike in President Bush 41's term. They staggered it for maximum effect. There were two incremental increases. It has been proven that hikes in the minimum wage cause recession which does not clear for around 18 months. Clinton was able to run on economic weakness. The economy had recovered as economic data proves, but people had not fully digested the improvement. Of course the biased media was saying it was still bad.
