I know you were there an all but i think you are just a sensitive guy. Folks on the home front do what they do--post WW2 and just because its the veep, nah. Did you get pissed off because LBJ did things in his spare time?

I made a point earler that when war is going on folks really get bent out of shape if they oppose it or it is being handled incorrectly. If we were in a war you supported, you would sing a differnt tune. And if the neocons were in the opposition and the govt pursued a war they didnt like they would go nuts too. IT depends on whose ox is being gored. War sucks but this planet isnt far enough along to ban it. We cant even ban nukes or other wmds.

Hi cnyndwllr; I would think that accidentally shooting your buddy on a hunting trip would give a guy a very tiny taste of what being sent into combat is like. A tiny taste, but probably more than he'd ever had before.
