Let's imagine ourselves in their shoes: Had Iraq invaded America and done the things to us that we've done to them, you, me, Dale, Tim, all of us would become "terrorists." (Of course, we would call ourselves Freedom Fighters.)

If Iraq was like the US in power and otherwise, and it invaded a much weaker US to depose someone like Saddam who had ruled for the last 30 years I'm not so sure I would try to become a freedom fighter, esp after an Iraqi government was put in place and democratic elections followed. If I did take part in the conflict (and I'm not sure they would want an overweight 37 year old despite my (somewhat limited) military background), it would be more likely to be as a soldier for the government than as an insurgent.
