Yes, we know some folks disapproved. I'm just not sure that tells us much. There are always some who disapprove of something.

If you are arguing that the judges who stayed on the FISA court approved of the process the Bush folk used, it's possible. They certainly didn't disapprove enough to resign.

The point, to get back to the one I was originally trying to make, is that we don't have a whole lot of credible sources as to what is actually happening vis a vis the FISA court stuff. The resignations and the opposition from Comry et al, Goldschmitt as well, tells us that, at least for some actors central to the process, it was not acceptable as framed.

Since no one has argued they resigned for reasons other than policy differences, that stands.

I gather we are repeating ourselves. Perhaps it's time to move on.
