Don't ignore the plan facts, JD: "the industry is the US AUTO industry" You mean the right-on-the-edge-of-bankrupsy General Motors and Ford? LOL! Are you REALLY saying that --- despite the examples of Toyota, Honda, Nissan... and now China emerging --- the auto industry can't make a profit selling more fuel efficient vehicles, if that's what the consumer wanted??????? Why not? But it's REALLY NUTS if you think that the auto industry has been a net creator of US jobs in DECADES! They HAVEN'T. The share of the American workforce represented by the entire auto industry has been declining steadily for decades... along with total jobs in the industry.
