I don't think this is a partisan view, simply how I see things.

That is the eternal dilemma here. Most people don't consider their own views partisan because they seem valid, hence reasonable and objective.

I did my best to rid the thread of the unthinking partisans. Recognize that partisans on the other side from you have put their own thought into their positions and come to different conclusions. Call them partisan if you will, but the "unthinking" moniker simply shuts down avenues for useful debate.

Relentless partisanship is something I am forced to tolerate if I want to keep the core of posters that make this thread work. You are quietly but relentlessly partisan in your own way, while others do the same on the other side.

Hopefully they can all coexist if people try to stay polite and tolerate the expression of views that don't conform to their own partisan outlook. If not, the thread will end up being a cozy phone booth with the few folks who can still get along.

I do suspect it's a function of the MSM phobia that is part of the worldview of the partisan right. We all have our frames, sometimes conscious, sometimes not.

Like I just said to e regarding her framing this as a class conflict, it wouldn't occur to me naturally to think of it as a skirmish in the great MSM wars, either. It took me a couple of days of hearing howls from the right about the WH press corps hissy fit for me to understand the frame that I posted in that piece. Originally I thought they were just waving the MSM flag to feed the base or as a diversion to take the heat off Cheney.
