His deal calls for $400 Million in cash over 5 years. In addition, he just received 211 million in stock a few weeks ago (34 million+ shares).

His deal also calls for payment of a percentage of subscriber revenue (based on a nondisclosed formula which credits him with subscribers deemed to be "Stern" subscribers). In addition, he receives a share of the advertising revenue earned on the two channels.

And there are more shares if certain subscriber targets are met.

When all is said and done, you have to think it will total more than $700 million, probably 750. And it would not be shocking to me if, five years from now, we find it was a billion dollar deal when everything is counted. Stern can walk away five years from now a billionaire.
