Cheney said he consumed alcohol. The sheriff's report said he didn't. Your statement says that there is a conflict between what each side said. The addition of "But the American public is capable of looking past such stupidity and move on without giving any credit or blame to anybody." doesn't remove that conflict. In fact the sheriff's report didn't say that Cheney had not consumed alcohol that day but that alcohol was not a factor. I'm not saying you where trying to create a false impression, but for people who didn't know the facts you may have done so. Tim
