Gore might be a decent President given his recent anti-war speeches. But I cannot say the same about people like Kerry and Hillary Clinton or in fact any candidate pushed by the DLC. Right now we have a good example of what such a President might be like. To wit Laborite Tony Blair in Britain -- a pathetic Bush toadie who has supported every criminal act the Bushies have committed. This revolting figure is reported to be quite close to Bill Clinton whose right wing pro-Zionist war mongering policies (including the genocidal Iraq sanctions) paved the way for the Bushies Frankly if a Democratic alternative to Bush proves to be another Tony Blair -- it really makes very little difference (at least on matters of war and peace) whether Republicans or Democrats win the next election.
