Robert Kennedy did more to fight bastards like McCarthy than any leader in the 1960's. Of course McCarthy was gone in disgrace by then, but RFK took on his partners, Hoover in particular. Which is one reason the rightwing murdered the Kennedys. Hoover wanted them dead, and ML King too. He took care of it. All because the Kennedys were fighting those gross rightwing corruption. The Kennedys stand for everything McCarthy was against, like liberty, democracy, civil rights, civil liberties, free speech, a free press, worker's rights and not lying to the people to get us into quagmire wars.
