We have cold and very hot days in LA. I choose not to use AC or heat my home except for a few very cold days. Right now it's chilly and raining. I heat not. I put on a sweater. I advise every Americ an to try and do the same. And to get solar panels, hybrid cars or whatever else they can do to be part of the solution, not the problem.

Ultimately though we can't solve this until we get new leaders. Bush-Cheney are 100% pro-polluting fuels, no matter what BS Bush throws out in his State of the Union. I found that part of his speech 100% insincere. He has slashed almost all funding for clean fuels and put all the extra money into the pockets of big oil and power.

AS, Yes, I walk to work and spend almost no energy heating my home. I use the car only when I have to and have a high mileage model. I am not a hypocrite. When it gets cold, I put on a sweater before I think about turning up the heat. I deliberately chose an office two blocks from my home so I could walk there.

If I remember correctly, you claimed to live in Los Angeles, so the only remarkable thing you've done is live close to work.

Remarkable? In LA, its extraordinary. Aside from the people who work at home, how many people do you know in LA live two blocks from their work and walk it?
